We offer individualised and multidisciplinary cancer care plans, delivered anywhere.
Exercise is Medicine
As recommended by the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA), our exercise physiologists and physiotherapists work with participants to develop individualised exercise programs. Structured exercise is safe, and proven to increase physical function, while positively impacting symptoms and side effects such as cancer related fatigue.
An optimal diet is crucial for supporting the immune system and boosting energy through and after treatment. Our experienced, oncology focused accredited dietitians coach participants to overcome common barriers like decreased appetite, nausea and changes in taste, while screening for unmet nutritional needs.
Mental Health Coaching
A cancer diagnosis takes its toll on all aspects of life, from relationships to finances, sleep and mood. Our psychologists offer cognitive coaching support to provide participants with practical tools and strategies that increase treatment completion rates and improve quality of life. Video consulting allows participants to connect from anywhere.
Expert Nursing Support
Key to this program’s success is our experienced registered nursing team. These oncology experts develop care plans and support participants and carers with tools to navigate the complex world of cancer. Our nurses provide tailored education and navigation and act as a central point of contact for referrers.
Using the Valion Health participant app, Cancer Support participants can research, upload health data, track progress and contact their care team. Tailored education modules provide participants with regular, best practice content that is reinforced and discussed during sessions. We use a mix of formats including videos, audio and articles.
Connect From Anywhere
A Valion Health consultation combines all the convenience of the telephone with the value of a face-to-face consultation by using high quality, secure video call. It’s a bit like using Skype of FaceTime, except purpose built for health. Participants join virtual waiting area via our web site where our health care professional will connect.
